Building Depot is Ontario's Authorized MegaDome Dealer for engineered fabric buildings. We supply, engineer, foundation-pour and install hot-dip galvanized fabric structures across Ontario for agricultural, industrial, mining, municipal, aviation, commercial and equestrian use.

Is Building Depot an authorized MegaDome dealer?

Yes. Building Depot is Ontario's Authorized MegaDome Dealer and sells the full MegaDome series (HP, HHP, XP, XL, DB and AR) with Ontario-stamped engineering and manufacturer warranty.

What warranty does Building Depot offer?

MegaDome fabric membranes carry a 15-year prorated warranty, and hot-dip galvanized steel frames are engineered for a 50+ year service life. Foundations and installation carry a 1-year workmanship warranty.

Can you provide stamped drawings for an Ontario permit?

Yes. Engineered fabric buildings supplied by Building Depot are designed to the Ontario Building Code and the site-specific snow, wind and seismic loads, and are issued with drawings stamped by a professional engineer licensed in Ontario. Tell us the municipality and we will confirm what the local building department expects in the submission.

What foundation reactions will you supply?

Once the span, height, bay spacing and design loads are fixed, the building engineer issues the base reactions — vertical, horizontal and uplift — for your foundation designer. If Building Depot is designing and constructing the foundation, we carry that coordination in-house.

Do you have CAD or PDF files we can reference?

We provide typical sections, elevations and specification material for the MegaDome series suited to your application. Request the design package and tell us the series, span and application so we send the files that match, rather than a generic library.

How do you handle snow drift and unbalanced load cases?

Drift from adjacent structures, roof steps, terrain and accumulation against end walls is treated as a project-specific engineering case, not a catalogue assumption. Send us the site plan and adjacent building heights and the building engineer will address them in the design.

Is a fire-resistant membrane available?

Yes — an FR membrane option is available where the occupancy, use or authority having jurisdiction requires it. See our FR membrane page, and send us the specification clause you are working to so we confirm the exact product against it.

What warranty language can we put in a specification?

Use the published MegaDome coverage: 15-year prorated limited warranty — Standard PowerShield membrane; Up to 20-year prorated limited warranty — Elite PowerShield membrane; 20-year limited declining warranty — pre-galvanized structure; 25-year limited declining warranty — hot-dip galvanized after welding. Coverage applies to the original purchaser for qualifying material or manufacturing defects, in intended use and with manufacturer-recommended maintenance. The issued warranty documents govern.

The building, the foundation and the loads are one problem.

A fabric building specified in isolation usually gets revised twice: once when the drift case is run, and again when the foundation reactions arrive. Building Depot is Ontario's authorized MegaDome dealer and delivers the engineering, foundation, building and installation as one scope, so the geometry you draw is the geometry that gets built.

Project-specific engineering data is issued by the building engineer for your site and loads. We do not publish generic load tables that could be misapplied to a different project.
