Hot-Dip Galvanization
Every Building Depot frame is fully submerged in a bath of molten zinc after fabrication — inside and outside, every weld, cut and joint. Hot-dip galvanizing forms a metallurgically bonded zinc coating that is far thicker and more durable than spray-on, painted or pre-galvanized-only finishes. The result is a structure engineered to resist corrosion for decades in Ontario's snow, salt and humidity.

Pre-Galvanized + North American Grade Steel
We don't compromise on the raw material. Every tube starts as certified North American structural steel, pre-galvanized at the mill before fabrication. Every cut, drill and weld point is then re-coated so there are no bare-metal corrosion points hiding inside your building ten years from now.

Welding Standards & Certifications
Building Depot welds to CSA W47.1 and ISO 3834 standards using bronze silicone welding — a lower-temperature process that bonds steel without burning off the hot-dip galvanized coating. Conventional MIG welding scorches zinc clean off the weld line, creating rust hot-spots. Bronze silicone keeps the coating intact, so your welds last as long as the structure.

Engineered Membrane System
A multi-layer PVDF-finished polyester membrane sheds water, blocks UV and lets natural daylight flood the interior. Reinforced keder edges lock into the frame, sealed perimeter entry stops drafts, and engineered ridge/gable ventilation keeps interiors condensation-free year-round. Conventional, animal-grade and FR-rated options are available for the right application.
