OUR APPROACH

We design what we build, and we build what we design.

Building Depot is the authorized fabric building specialist for Ontario — we pair our engineered fabric building's engineered fabric-building system with our own in-house project management, foundation work and install crews. We pour our own foundations and erect every building ourselves, so no outside contractors are required. One contact, one accountable team, from quote to enclosed.

01

Engineering First

Every our engineered fabric building project starts with a stamped design — snow, wind, seismic, and operational loads modeled to your Ontario site.

02

Canadian Supply Chain

our engineered fabric building trusses are fabricated in Canada from domestic steel and architectural-grade membrane. No overseas lead times.

03

Owned Install Crews

We don't sub out the install. The crew that shows up wears the Building Depot logo and stands behind the work.

04

Warranty That Holds

our engineered fabric building's 15-year structural and membrane coverage, backed by local Ontario service.

STEEL & WELDS

Engineered steel. Bronze-silicon welds. Oval tube strength.

our engineered fabric building is the only fabric-building manufacturer to offer bronze-silicon welding — bonding steel at lower temperatures so the galvanized coating stays intact. No burn-through, no rust hot-spots, no weld-line corrosion.

  • North-American graded structural steel
  • Pre-galvanized steel tubes — Galvalume & Gatorshield
  • Exclusive bronze-silicon welds (not conventional MIG)
  • Hot-dip galvanization available for extra corrosion protection
  • Single arch or truss arch (double) configurations
  • Welding certified to ISO 3834 & CSA W47.1
  • Structures stamped to CAN/CSA A660-10 & ISO 9001
OVAL TUBE TECHNOLOGY

Optimized resistance. Protected membrane.

our engineered fabric building's oval tubes offer an optimized resistance compared to round or rectangular tubes with similar dimensions. The smooth, edge-free profile protects the membrane from abrasion and extends the building's service life.

01

Welds have sufficient surface area compared to round or rectangular profiles

02

No sharp edges — protects the useful life of the membrane

03

More efficient than other comparable tube profiles

Why oval tubes matter

Conventional round or rectangular tubes create stress concentration points and sharp edges that wear against the membrane over time. our engineered fabric building's oval tube profile distributes loads more evenly, eliminates edge abrasion, and delivers higher strength-to-weight ratio — meaning a safer, longer-lasting building with less steel.

MEMBRANE SYSTEMS

Woven scrim + polymer. Built to last up to 20 years.

The membrane is the only element you maintain on a our engineered fabric building building — and it's engineered to require as little attention as possible. Waterproof, flexible, and available in multiple grades to match your application.

Conventional (20% light)

General-purpose woven scrim + polymer membrane. Waterproof, flexible, and available in multiple colors.

For Animals (30% light)

Higher light-transmission membrane ideal for livestock comfort. Keeps barns bright and reduces energy costs.

Fire-Retardant (FR)

Treated with fire-retardant chemistry. Both conventional and FR membranes meet local jurisdiction requirements for industrial and municipal applications.

Fire safety note

Both conventional and FR-rated membranes will burn if directly exposed to flame — the difference is that Fire-Retardant (FR) membrane will not spread fire across the surface. For industrial and municipal applications, FR-rated membrane is the basic standard. We always confirm local jurisdiction requirements before specifying the membrane grade for your project.
