Why Building Depot

Building Depot is Ontario's Authorized MegaDome Dealer. That relationship gives our clients direct access to MegaDome's engineered hot-dip galvanized frames and PVC membrane systems, factory engineering support and the manufacturer's warranty program — backed locally by a contractor who is on the site, not on another continent.

What separates Building Depot from a supplier is scope. We handle building selection, site planning, engineering coordination, foundation design and construction, structural erection, membrane installation, doors, ventilation, mechanical and electrical coordination, commissioning, and long-term service. Owners deal with one company and one schedule rather than stitching together five contracts.

Ontario expertise is the second differentiator. Snow, wind and rain-on-snow loads vary substantially between the GTA, Eastern Ontario, Georgian Bay and the north, and municipal permitting requirements vary just as much. Every project is engineered to the actual site address, and permit packages are prepared for the specific building department reviewing them.

We work across mining, municipal and public works, industrial and manufacturing, commercial and warehousing, agriculture, aviation, sports and government procurement — each with different door, ventilation, floor and access requirements that shape the building long before the membrane goes on.

Finally, accountability continues past hand-off. Inspections, maintenance programs, repairs, membrane replacement and warranty administration are all handled by the same team that built the structure.
