HP · XP · XXP · HHP · XL · DB · AR — engineered for every span.
Every MegaDome series shares the same pre-engineered, site-specific approach. Building Depot configures the right series, profile and clearance for your Ontario project — from a 30' municipal salt shed to a 200' custom AR mining building.
Temporary or permanent modular domes — solid, adapted to punctual needs and small-to-mid projects. Simple, fast installation. Engineered for industrial, municipal and agricultural use across Ontario.
The HP, XP and XXP profiles share a common oval-tube modular arch system. HP is the workhorse for standard snow-load zones (Toronto, GTA, London, Windsor). XP steps up wall height and clearance for equipment and truck traffic. XXP is the reinforced profile Building Depot recommends for Ottawa Valley, Muskoka and Northern Ontario ground snow loads, or for buildings that will carry lighting rigs, cable trays or crane rails.
Reinforced modular dome engineered for the punishing side of Ontario — high ground snow, heavy freeze-thaw cycles, mining and industrial duty cycles. Same modular install speed as HP/XP, upgraded arch spacing and steel gauge.
HHP is the profile Building Depot specifies when the site is in Sudbury, Timmins, Thunder Bay, North Bay or Sault Ste. Marie, or when the building will house a fertilizer blender, a truck-wash bay, a stacker/conveyor, or a mining process line. Tighter arch spacing and heavier gauge oval tubes lift the design snow and wind capacity without moving to a full truss-arch permanent frame.
The widest modular profile — engineered when you need genuine clear-span volume without moving up to a full custom AR build. Vertical-lean sidewalls maximize usable cubic feet under the arch.
XL is the sweet spot for warehousing, aircraft hangars up to mid-size aviation, indoor sports facilities, and equipment storage where a loader has to swing 360° inside the building. It keeps the modular install schedule while pushing clear span into the 100' – 130' range and interior clearance heights up to 30' at the eave.
Truss-arch permanent dome spanning 33 ft to 160 ft clear, with wide interior clearance and five profile options. Hot-dip galvanized steel, oval tubes for optimized resistance, length extendable as your operation grows.
DB is Building Depot's most-specified permanent profile. The truss-arch construction distributes snow and wind loads more efficiently than a single-tube arch, which lets us push the clear span to 160' while keeping the foundation footprint reasonable. It's the frame under most municipal salt sheds, dairy free-stall barns and horse riding arenas we install across Ontario.
Custom-engineered permanent structure designed per project — up to 200 ft wide with vertical walls for maximum clearance. Truss arches are always hot-dip galvanized. Roof membrane can be replaced per section and the building can be extended as your business grows.
AR is what we engineer when the project doesn't fit a catalog. Custom clear-spans to 200', eave heights to 50', peak heights to 90', integrated concrete push walls to 16', and any combination of overhead doors, conveyor openings and man-door layouts. Every AR job ships with stamped Ontario engineering, and Building Depot self-performs the foundation and the erection.
When your operation needs unobstructed interior space — for stockpiles at full angle of repose, for the swing of a front-end loader, or for stacking trucks bumper-to-bumper — Building Depot engineers a large-span MegaDome that gives you the full footprint with zero interior columns. Permanent, hot-dip galvanized, and sized to your equipment.

BUILDING OPTIONS
Engineered openings for the way you actually work.
Every MegaDome is configured around how product, equipment and people move through the building. Two of the most common options we engineer in Ontario:
OPTION · 01
Side Door
A full-height sliding or bi-parting side door cut into the sidewall — engineered to fit loaders, tandem trucks and end-dumps without losing the gable-end stockpile depth. Framed in hot-dip galvanized steel, insulated cladding optional, and integrated into the structural arch so the dome rating is preserved.
Drive-through access without sacrificing stockpile length
Hot-dip galvanized frame engineered into the arch
Sized to your loader, truck or end-dump
Manual or motorized — sliding or bi-parting
OPTION · 02
Conveyor Opening
Most aggregate, salt, sand and bulk-material buildings are filled by a stacker or radial conveyor. We engineer a dedicated conveyor opening — gable-end or sidewall — sized to your belt geometry, drop height and stockpile angle of repose, so you fill the dome to its full clear-span volume.
Sized to your stacker / radial conveyor
Engineered for full stockpile angle of repose
Weather-sealed boot to protect the membrane
Combined with overhead or side door for truck-out
Other options — overhead doors, man-doors, ridge & gable ventilation, insulated liners, lighting packages — are quoted per project. Tell us how the building has to operate and Building Depot engineers the openings around it.
