Turnkey Fabric Building Construction

Most fabric building suppliers ship a kit and leave the owner to assemble a foundation contractor, an erection crew, an electrician and an engineer. Building Depot works the other way around: as Ontario's Authorized MegaDome Dealer and a turnkey fabric building contractor, we coordinate the entire project under one scope of work, one schedule and one point of accountability.

A typical turnkey scope begins with a site assessment — access, grading, drainage, setbacks and soil conditions — followed by building selection and site-specific engineering. From there we coordinate the foundation, whether that is a poured concrete footing and stem wall, precast concrete blocks, helical piles or an engineered slab, and mobilize the structural erection crew.

Once the frame is standing and the membrane is tensioned, the project moves to building systems: overhead and personnel doors, ridge and end-wall ventilation, HVLS fans, LED and emergency lighting, and any mechanical or electrical requirements. Licensed trades perform work that requires a licence; Building Depot manages the sequencing, inspections and hand-off.

Every project closes with commissioning and documentation — verification that doors, ventilation and lighting operate as designed, and delivery of stamped drawings, as-builts and warranty paperwork. That package supports your municipal final inspection, your insurer and any future expansion.

Where scope falls outside our direct capability, we say so. Specialist engineering, licensed electrical and mechanical work, and certain site works are delivered through qualified professionals and subcontractors, coordinated by Building Depot's project management team.
