Government Fabric Buildings
Bonded, P.Eng stamped MegaDome buildings for federal, provincial and municipal facilities across Ontario — engineered for procurement compliance, security requirements and long service life.
Built for purpose. Built for Ontario.
Building Depot delivers engineered MegaDome fabric buildings to federal departments, Crown corporations, provincial ministries, Ontario municipalities and First Nations communities. Every structure ships with the Ontario P.Eng stamped drawings, load calculations and code-compliance letters that PSPC, Defence Construction Canada (DCC), Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), Infrastructure Ontario and municipal procurement offices require in a compliant technical submission.
Government sites demand documentation, not just a building. Our submissions include hot-dip galvanized coating certificates to CSA G164, membrane fire-test reports (CAN/ULC-S102 and NFPA 701 for FR skins), foundation engineering, anchor schedules, WSIB clearances, insurance certificates and performance-bond commitments — assembled to the standard your contracting officer expects.
We serve First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities across Ontario, including on-reserve and remote-access projects. Building Depot works under Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) and Crown-Indigenous Relations (CIRNAC) funding frameworks, honours Band Council Resolutions (BCRs) and Indigenous data sovereignty, and complies with the federal Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business (PSAB) — including 5% Indigenous procurement targets, set-aside contracts and joint-venture partnerships with Indigenous-owned firms. On-reserve projects are engineered to the applicable on-reserve building code, coordinated with Band public works and housing authorities, and delivered with respect for Traditional Territory protocols and community engagement requirements.
Typical federal, provincial and Indigenous community applications include equipment and heavy machinery storage, community recreation and multi-purpose facilities, arena and cultural gathering spaces, fuel and materiel warehousing, vehicle and grader maintenance shelters, salt and sand domes for MTO and Band patrol yards, aircraft and helicopter hangars for the RCAF and provincial air services, correctional facility infrastructure, and emergency response and evacuation staging structures. Every application is engineered to site-specific Ontario snow, wind and seismic loads.
Because MegaDome is a modular, relocatable engineered system, government and Indigenous clients avoid the capital-project timelines of conventional steel or concrete construction. Turnkey delivery — engineering, permits, foundation, erection and commissioning — typically completes in 12 to 20 weeks from award, and buildings can be disassembled and redeployed as base, facility or community needs evolve.
